Tati - Farm to Table

Budapest, VII.

#RESTAURANTDECOR

THE STORY IN SHORT

Hidden in the bustling city centre of Budapest, TATI bears witness to the simplicity and purity of rural life.

The "Farm to Fork" concept really takes shape here, as most of the produce comes from the family that runs the restaurant, while others are sustainably procured from local farmers. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are preference, so the raw materials are sent from the farms of domestic small producers directly to the table. During the creation of the interior design concept, the charm of the countryside was mixed with the comfort of city life. Drawing on my own experiences and getting to know the hard-working people behind the restaurant, a simple, rustic, yet modern arrangement took shape, which I realized in collaboration with Socially. The depiction of the farm's animals on vintage prints reminds us of that childhood memory when we first made eye contact with a lamb or ran our fingers through the feathers of a hen. Fairytale experiences, with real characters - who come to life in the form of copper animals, wall pictures or storybook illustrations on the walls, shelves and countertops of the restaurant. A lamp converted from a chamomile picker, folk artworks of museum value, ceramics and a toy pig sewn from leather can be seen in the interior decorated under glimmering warm lights. Wildflowers from the field and bales of straw were placed close to touch on the tables and in various corners of the space.
